Managing Stress

Spending a minimum of 8 hours a day in a working environment, pulled in multiple directions and with an increasingly blurred line between professional and personal – the resulting stress is caused by factors from both working and private lives and also has consequences for both.

This course enables participants to identify their individual stress factors and create strategies to overcome them in order to achieve a healthy work/life balance.

At the end of the course you will:

  • Understand the impact of stress in the workplace
  • Understand what causes stress in yourself and others
  • Recognise the initial signs of stress
  • Create strategies for you and your team to minimise & cope with stressors
  • Create an appropriate work/life balance to maintain a healthy and positive, professional and personal balance

Due to the personal nature of stress, participants will be encouraged (through a questionnaire & discussion) to identify their personal level of stress. ‘Timelines’ will be used to help participants see various lifecycles and to plan for change.

Various relaxation techniques will be demonstrated by the trainer.

Whilst there are clear links with personal organisation, this module will not deal directly with time management techniques.

The content of this programme can be tailored to your requirements for in-company training. More information on Tailored Training or contact us.
